Jay-Z: Willow Smith will be a 'superstar'

Jay-Z knows talent when he hears it - at any age.

Just a day after Willow Smith, 9, debuted her hip-hop single Whip My Hair online, Jay-Z signed Will and Jada's daughter to his Roc Nation record label.

"When you have that sort of talent, there is no such thing as too young," the music mogul told Ryan Seacrest yesterday. He even compared her to Michael Jackson. "She has a child's innocence but she has a clear vision of who she is and who she wants to be," he continued. "I can only imagine that's how Mike [Michael Jackson] was as a young kid, he knew exactly what he wanted."

Jay-Z added, "I believe in superstars. I believe in big records and in superstars and I think [Willow] has both."
